Best Episode of Glee. Ever.

Where the hell do I start??

Ok.

Let's take a deep breath, compose ourselves...

Context. Right. Ok. I've just watched Glee Season 2, Episode 6 AKA Never Been Kissed. Before I even saw the episode I was excited for it, because of the introduction of Blaine, played by Darren Criss. So in my post-watch excitement, I shall *try* to write a somewhat coherent (gushing) review of it.

I apologise in advance for the stream of consciousness-ness of this.

And TL,DR: Glee is totally awesome.

You may know him from such things as A Very Potter Musical and its sequel, A Very Potter Sequel. If you don't, you've been missing out, and I demand that you go check it out right this minute. You will NOT regret it.

I'd heard great things about this episode from my American friends on Twitter, so when I sat down this evening to watch it I was almost bouncing in my seat!

And it did NOT disappoint. If anything, this episode exceeded expectations (no pun intended... sort of lol). The return of Puck was nice, and his new friendship of sorts is sweet. My sister dubbed this fledgling bromance, Partie. I really liked the first song, One Love. And throughout the episode, Partie's little story was cute, but let's be honest, eclipsed by everything else.

So Kurt has been struggling the last few episodes with school and the homophobia, and it has culminated in this one bully figure, Karofsky, in this episode. This struggle and need for expectance segues nicely with his 'espionage' trip to a rival all boys' school, Dalton Academy. When Kurt arrives, he is met by Blaine, who appears to not even bat an eyelid at Kurt's overt sexuality. Blaine grabs his hand and pulls him (in an admittedly corny but Oh So Cute slow-mo bit) down a 'short-cut'. Then we see the first highlight of the show: Teenage Dream. I LOVED it. I'd already heard the song before, but not seen the performance with it. And the performance was great. Simple but awesome. There was lots of Blaine staring straight at Kurt, and Kurt looking gobsmacked at the whole shebang. And THE cutest thing through the whole episode was Kurt clapping at the end of the song! If anyone has a gif of that, please let me know! I need it lol!

The bit with Kurt having coffee with the Dalton boys was a great scene. Him asking outright whether they were all gay was all at once hopeful and cautious. Kurt's completely shocked face was so sad to see, like he never thought there would be anywhere so accepting. Blaine's almost blasé response that yes, he was gay, I thought, was perfect. It showed the difference that an environment where it doesn't matter who or what you are makes.

So next comes the girls' mash up. I think mash ups are what Glee does best, so this, and the boys' one were amazing. All the girls look fabulous, and the two songs were great! But it was Kurt's face and demeanor when he received the text of "Courage" from Blaine that was lovely.

The next time we see Kurt is looking at the word "Courage" and a pic of Blaine (BIGGEST crush ever there lol) then he gets slammed into the locker by big bully guy, Karofsky. Initially, Kurt leaves it, like always, but then he finds his courage and goes running after him. Watching this, I was 120% behind Kurt getting his own back. But I was very worried that Karofsky was going to punch him in the face! However, that is not what I should have been worried about! The thing that happened next couldn't have shocked me more!

Karofsky KISSED Kurt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ( I don't think I can put enough '!' after that.) Seriously, I was like "OMGWTF!?!? Shit the bed! asdkjfoiertv asdvbpiuweofvbipfuvnokm...." and descent into madness! That came from completely left field. I had absolutely NO idea that was about to happen. I about fell off my seat.
And cue best-timed ad break ever, because it literally took me the whole ad break to get over THAT bombshell!

When Blaine came to try and talk to Karofsky, I thought that was so sweet and kind, considering he hardly knew Kurt and what-have-you. And he was so calm and collected, even when he was slammed into the railings. I also loved that Kurt then stood up for Blaine. And Blaine's line about Karofsky not coming out for a while was hilarious.

So in case you hadn't worked out, I am firmly Team Klaine.

So the other story line in this bombshell-like episode was the Bieste (AKA Beast) one. As an attempt to keep themselves 'calm' during... intimate moments, shall we say, the boys started to try to envision Bieste. However this backfired with hilarious imagination sequences. With some wheeling and dealing with Sue (who was on top form, though again eclipsed slightly), Bieste quits. Schu, feeling bad for his part in the whole sitch, goes to talk to Bieste. Next thing you know, she's pouring her heart out, and admitting that at 40 she has never been kissed. *Alarm Bells!!!!* At this moment, I was like I'm not sure I can take another shock moment like this...

Schu, in his (infinite) wisdom, KISSES her!!!!!!!!!! Oh dear God... there was much shouting and flailing at the telly.

TWO bombshells in ONE episode!!! Jeez Louise...

I am calling it right now. This is THE best episode of Glee ever. Nothing can beat it for shocks and cuteness and awesomeness. And no one can convince me otherwise. Lol.

On a side note: How supermegafoxyawesomehot is Darren Criss?? Official New Celeb crush. Jsyk.
